I think this whole idea is bull, I have lived in Wyandotte Co. all my life, and I think all we get any more is the short end of the stick. Our property taxes go up every year but our living conditionss never improve. Why should we keep paying for things like this? When we never get anything out of it.

This is just ridiculous. Our county doesn't have the money to honor their pay contracts with its police officers or give their fire fighters raises, but they can produce millions to bring in a soccer complex. Where are their priorities? As the county expands will they even have enough public safety officers to do a sufficient job, or will those personnel be spread thin because there isn't enough money allotted to pay them?
