CNOOC to Take Over Canada's Nexen CNOOC Ltd , China's biggest offshore energy explorer, agreed to pay $15.1 billion in cash to acquire Canada's Nexen Inc in the biggest overseas takeover by a Chinese company, Bloomberg reported.
