It's hard to say if they're linked," said study author Irva Hertz-Picciotto, professor of public health sciences at the University of California at Davis. "It might be there's some environmental factor that contributes both to the obesity epidemic and to the rise in autism cases. Or it could be the increase in obesity is, in fact, contributing to the increase in autism. But it's certainly not going to account for all of it."

More scarmongering...they don't have all the attributed causes so they claim one of these factors is obesity in the mother and that is the one the media run with......what a load of shit....The medical profession, scientist are doing more harm than good allowing these result to be given to the media to misuse and misrepresent, read the story and you find this is not the whole truth, so why do they print half truths and incomplete results, this is not helpful or truthful.....just more scaremongering by the medical profession and the media.....wankers.

Its plain garbage. Many mothers who's children become autistic are not obese OR diabetic. They forgot that I guess as they try to blame the vaccine victims.
