I hate to laugh in The Baltimore Sun's face too loudly, but even a Baltimore Sun article claimed the Ehrlich deal with Constellation/BGE would have ended up being better for most BGE customers if I remember correctly, not to mention Ehrlich supported the FPL merger which would have prevented this mess. Can't you people EVER tell the truth, even if it means repeating a truth you've already stated? I realize this is difficult to own up to since The Sun editorial staff unwisely endorsed O'Malley over Ehrlich while that bastion of conservatism, The Washington Post endorsed Ehrlich, but please, please, give the truth a chance Baltimore Sun!:-)

O'Malley is way in over his head on this and has not a clue of how to get out. Right now I would not trust anything he does. He will sell Maryland's soul to the devil so he can look good.

For 40 years I watched and invested in BGE / Constellation Energy ... I did not approve of the split between CEG and BGE; down sizing of power service employees; gouging the consumer, smoke and mirrors outside competion presentation to the public & State, and finally the out of sight executive options and salaries ...Shattuck should have been fired weeks back...now ...what goes around....comes around! However the sad part is that Shattuck will get another bonus! Amazing

Uh oh, did Martin O'Malley possibly contribute to the lose of several thousand jobs from MD and put our nuclear power plant at risk by his hopeless pondering? On top of his tax hikes, his energy rate hikes (250% more than under Ehrlich), and his drunken sailor spending, we need some new leadership that does not penalize Maryland's middleclass working families.

It is reassuring to know that the Boy Gov. is closely monitoring the situation! What a joke. Perhaps he and his band could hold a fundraiser to bail Constellation out.

Way to go O'Malley..perhaps the slots revenue will support the employees who will now lose their jobs on this buyout.

Instead of trying to grow businesses in MD we keep losing them.

First was the MBNA credit card division of the old Md Natl Bank, when the legislature wanted caps on interest rates.(Hey don't want a high rate card, do not sign up for one!) Now Delaware is credit card capital.

Then we raise sales tax to 6%..and the nanny state and Balt City continue to leech taxpayers!

Soon we will have 0 Fortune 500 companies in the Balt Area.

I am positive that the Baltimore Sun has already bought an extra tanker full of ink to help O'Malley put a positive spin on the BGE debacle. It's beginning to look like O'Malley is actually causing Maryland more harm than Glendenning ever did.

And to Mr.Middleton's comment the energy Constellation/Mid Ameican will provde a benefit to Marylanders. That is in a rather socialistic sense since energy generated here in Maryland is not produced or eamarked for our direct benefit. It is fed into the grd and is bid out to companies that deliver service in a faulty auction system the PJM.

O'liar should be worried. If they move the company than there goes the jobs. Maybe annapolis will learn to be more fiscally prudent, but I doubt it. Just look at the business parks in the region. There is alot of empty square footage out there.

O'Malley is a great governor. It's the greedy republic hypocrites at CEG and Bush's terrible policies that caused this. If Obama was in charge this would never happen.

Obama's never been in charge of anything. He just shake's his head and grins like he's "special".

Bush's policies had nothing to do with Constellation. And what are republic hypocrites and just what are they hypocritical about?

O'Malley won because he was going to roll back electric rates. Mine was rolled back $170 bucks, but it came with a box to check if I wanted to give it back to bailout Constellation

Other than that, O'Malley hasn't governed his way out of a bag. What's his approval rating? 10%?

Great Governor. Shhhsh. Would you know one if it bit you on the butt?

O'Malley is nothing but a corrupt, two-bit politician who would sell ANYONE down the river just so he'd look good. NOTHING is ever this rats fault!

$170 credit on my BGE bill.. What a freggin joke..

You have to laugh when the 3 Amigos thought they'd have all this money to spend and give to the illegals when the increased the sales tax. Now they find out they're getting the same amount (if not LESS) due to the economy and people shopping in PA, DE and the internet..

The Dems/Socialists in this state will do nothing to encourage business growth in this state but will use every opportunity to tax the hell out of you..

Oh, and by the way, I am PRO-slots but I'm voting AGAINST slots becuase of the 3 Rat Amigos.. Since slots were so evil under Gov Erlich, how can they be so good now? Easy, we have the Rat in charge now and EVERYTHING the Dems go is good!
