This whole deal stinks just like the slots situation. Slots were bad when Bob E. was in office. Now we need an amendment to the state constitution they are so important.
When Bob E. was in office CEG was an evil entity out to fleece the rate/taxpayers. Now it no longer exists as a Maryland company and we'll be dependent on people from half way across the country for our energy infrastructure; but MO'M thinks its great! You get the leaders you deserve.

First Alex Brown and now Constellation. No one thinks of the stockholders as long as Buffett can steal Constellation and Mayo can come out even wealthier. There should be an investigation and a bailout of stockholders at 50. Everyone else is being bailed out.

Hey guys, roll the clock back about 12 years and what do you find? Back then, Maryland put the kibosh on another BGE merger proposal....the merger with Washington DC power company PEPCO. Maryland didn't like that one, just as they didn't like the FPL deal of 2 years ago. Granted, it wasn't on O'Malley's watch, but the political climate in Maryland is so anti business that this latest Constellation disaster was just waiting to happen.
