WNOX moving to new radio frequency

There are 6 comments on the WBIR-TV Knoxville story from Jun 14, 2010, titled WNOX moving to new radio frequency. In it, WBIR-TV Knoxville reports that:

If you're a local fan of talk radio, you'll have to adjust your radio presets soon--WNOX is moving from current location 100.3 FM to 98.7. Citadel Broadcasting, which owns the station, will save money by moving the station to a frequency where it owns the broadcasting rights.

I listen to 98.7 every day. I am very upset that you are changing it to a talk radio station. We hear enough talk every day. People and the news channels talk every little thing to death. It just keeps on and on. No one has anything good to say anymore and I for one am tired of listening to it. What we don't hear enough of is the things that lower our stress levels and listening to the oldies definately does that for me.

I turned on the 98.7 last nite at 1:00 and Coast to coast was not on there. Two men talking about Trucks and freightliners. Boring. I don't sleep well and i enjoy cast to coast. Put it back on.

I live in Crossville, and the signal from 98.7 is too weak to be received on home and car radios here!! I am very upset because I loved to listen to the shows every day. Now I can only hear them when I have access to the internet to listen online. Please increase the signal so we can hear you in Crossville again!!

Coast to Coast will be on the New 100.3 Newstalk when it begins broadcasting on August 2.

I used to be able to listen to Boortz, Rush, Hannity and Levin up in Kentucky. Not any more!!! These people really hosed a LOT of people!!! I'd say put all of the above mentioned people on 100.3 and give 98.7 a LOT of competition. That would show them they should have stayed on 100.3.
