Was Bush a great president, No, At least I don't think so. I think he did many things wrong and did not inform the people enough about what was going on here.
Bush did keep us safe, I'll give him that, but even he did not do enough to protect our boarders here.
The Clinton years did bring great things to our country, but he also had a republican congress.
And Clinton believed in small government. The government will always work best when you have both parties in power and it is small.
The Jobs you state that were created by Clinton... Well I know that Gore invented the Internet, but I'm still not going to give anyone in government the credit for the Tech boom.(That is where your number of jobs comes from). Also remember, the Tech Bust happend while Clinton was in office, so I guess by your logic you would have to give him credit for that too.
Bin Ladin attacked the World Traid Center and the U.S.S Cole while Clinton was in office, nothing was done. The only guy he cought was some peeon. I don't blame Clinton or Bush for 9/11 I blame Bin Ladin. Even if we had a little more knowledge, we were not ready for that to happen.
I noticed you mentioned something about Bush not working on weekends. How do you know? Just because someone is away or even on vacation doesn't mean they aren't working or getting up-dates. You must have some real inside information. I would really like to hear your thoughts on Wednesday nights being party nights right now with Obama.
You shouldn't call names or judge the wiseness of another if you don't have 100% factual information. You shouldn't do it anyway as it lessens the value of your point and really just makes you sound childish. I'm sure you are not childish and have important infromation to share, and if you do it in a more adult way, it will come across much stronger.
Perhaps it is the way the far left tries to push information that is important yet sounds childish and is incomplete that makes them unsuccessful in radio marketing to the working people of our great country. There should be no law banning or information or forcing programs that are simply unsuccessful onto the radio. It's like anyother business, if it can't succeed on it's own there should be no law forcing it to press on. Look at the mess we are in now from doing just that.
God bless the U.S.
Thanks for the sensible post.
Read some of the posts from the right---Ditto-heads if you want to see childish.
It is a well known fact that Bush wouldn't take a security brief on Sundays. I'm talking about the briefing like the one that said "Bin Laden to attack inside US". I don't have any inside info---This has been widely reported.

Where did you get your lessons in economics? I'll bet your personal finances are a mess.
If you've dug yourself into a hole, stop digging.
Believe me, the Supreme Court isn't laughing. They're trying to avoid the issue (Obama's birth country) so as not to cause inner city riots.
Enemy combatants are exactly what they are since they don't wear uniforms and don't belong to a recognized army. Anti American dummies like you would prefer the term, friendly foe's, or something like that.

Just remember this when you question the Bush spending (which, btw, I happen to agree was wrong)...

In his first 50 days in office, Obama has spent more money than all the Presidents and the entire government has spent in the previous 233 year history of our nation. That includes the cost of two world wars, a civil war, numerous other wars and conflicts, the great depression, all the social programs, all the infrastructure in the nation -- everything ever spent by the US government.

And Obama has already spent more than that in just 50 days! Scary what he can and will do over the next nearly-4 years.

(Of course -- to be 'fair'-- after spending more in 50 days than has been spent in the entire history of our nation, Obama now wants to initiate 'fiscal responsibility'!!!! Yeah -- sort of like getting my boss to give me the equivalent of all the salary ever paid to me in my time at my job, but saying that starting next week he can reduce my salary 10% as a move towards fiscal responsibility!)

Rational Man,
Sounds terrible, but I don't exactly know where you got that.
I think we were about $5 Trillion in debt from the first 42 Presidents.
Then Bush put us about another $6 Trillion in debt all by himself.
So now you're saying Obama spent $11 Trillion?
I must have dozed off---I didn't notice that much.

Seems most economists agree a lot must be spent to pull us out of the hole Bush put us in, but I still don't know when Obama spent $11 Trillion.
Many economists say Obama isn't spending enough.
I don't know, but then I'm not an economist, and when I went to school, the word "Trillion" was a joke, kinda like "Gazillion". Little did we know!

So, in your opinion, it was Ok for Bush to spend Trillions in tax cuts for the rich, but spending big bucks isn't Ok when it's for working people, like taking some of the income taxes off of unemployment (Reagan started taxing unemployment BTW). I guess you don't want workers to get unemployment extensions from Obama, or the extra $25 per week of unemployment either. Or Billions for infrastructure to get people back to work. You think we should just give some more tax breaks to the rich????
I guess you feel bad that the Democrats stopped Bush from putting our Social Security into the stock market----Boy that would be great now huh???
Bush gave $6 Trillion away, while letting everything ****. If you bought a house that the last owner let go, would you spend money to fix it up, or just keep wasting money, without fixing things. Would you fix the broken windows & repair the furnace, or would you just waste money on high energy bills like the last owner did?
Use your head, what have Republicans done for working people since Ike ???
Name a few things please.
Maybe you should take some remedial reading classes. Tell me where in my post I said anything about Bush’s spending being OK? I said both parties have been S C R E W I N G the American working man over and based on Obama’s first fifty days things are only going to get worse. As far as your house analogy goes fine spend the money to fix the broken windows and furnace. My problem is the pork money their (dems and reps) spending on adding curtains to the broken windows before the windows are even fixed and putting in tennis courts and a pool before fixing the furnace. I got news for you it won’t be just the wealthy paying for all these things. WAKE UP! I consider myself a regular working guy far from rich, and I know I’ll be paying higher taxes in some way shape or form to pay for all this C R A P. You need to get off your high horse and realize the present administration is not doing the working man any favors. The infrastructure programs don’t really start until 2010 and how does that help all the laid off manufacturing and blue collar workers? As long as people like you, follow your party blindly this country will be in big trouble. As far as what the Reps have done for the working man (and I’m really not trying to turn this into a rep vs. dem argument because the both draw a vacuum as engineers would say.), but until the dems took over congress and the budget (2006) the country was doing very well economically and anyone who put their money in the stock market until last year was doing very well. I think almost all American s benefit from that. Are you trying to say during the Clinton years (very successful economically) NO jobs were lost overseas and there was no poor in America? Did union membership increase or decrease during the Clinton years? Don’t be fooled both parties represent the elite. They just have different friends and neither of them includes the regular American working man and woman. If $25 dollars a week impresses you out of hundreds of billions than you’re exactly what the dems are depending on! It’s sad $25 dollars is all it takes to buy some peoples vote these days. If you’re not disappointed in Obama’s so called change to this point you’re just not too bright. Now go ahead and reply, how I’m a republican backer when anyone who can read can see you’re full of it.
