Wow. Look what happened at Clear Channel radio stations. Turned good stations into used car lots. Hiring a person(s) from an industry losing market share faster than newspapers does not make sense.

You are wrong. Radio is not sliding nearly as fast as Newspapers. Over the last 15 years, radio has lost less than 5% of total audience. Considering all of the new mediums that have debuted in that time frame, losing only a few percent is nothing short of remarkable. Radio is strong and is not going away. The stocks of the Radio companies on the other hand have certainly seen better days.
Clear Channel, on the whole, is still a good operation, but has never really found its way since Randy was given the boot in 2002.

Makes you wonder if Newsday's gonna give up on the paper format and exist completely in the cyber/audio markets. All their top execs are radio people.
