You better not change that station at all. It's been #1 for years on the Island. You ruin it, you ruin radio. Leave everyone on air. Leave the format. Be smart about this.

#1? Seriously? No wonder I can't stand LI any more. In my opinion, the only thing it's good for is snow closing announcements.

The DREK that is WALK's playlist. What do they call it? "Something old" (and boring) "Something new" (ugly and terrible). A lot of the new garbage WALK plays are artists already signed with Clear Channel - it has to be because that is the only way this new drivel would ever get played...by anybody.

It is insane that in two NYS counties totalling over 3 million people there is only one 50,000 watt so called clear channel station that you can get almost from one end of Suffolk to the other end of Nassau. All the rest are super local with a signal that falls off the cliff when you go beyond their limited broadcast areas.

Why can't this place have at least 6 to 10 stations you can get everywhere in Nassau & Suffolk Counties? Why is only WALK available everywhere.

Folks...this ain't 1960...it is almost 2010!!! It's time to demand far more clear channel outlets out here.

Lets hear it for half a dozen new powerful FM stations so we don't have to either put up with WALK's drivel or change the dial every ten minutes while driving around this place.

It's not the #1 most listened to station. WBLI is. WALK has been rated #1 in Average Quarter Hour listeners. In fact, ARBITRON typically measured WBLI with 150,000 more listeners weekly.

Hey give the station to the Spanish speakers since there is not enough radio stations serving the Hispanic/Latino community. Why do we need another boring whitebread radio station.MEGA!

I meant #1 for it's format and market. BLI plays teenybopper music. I'd tongue kiss the third rail before listening to that cr ap.

Ah what do I know. Who really cares?

If you truly support Obama, keep this rhetoric off the internet, comments like that will contribute to him losing.

McCain is my choice.
