Miami-based Carnival Corp. , the world's largest cruise company, is raising the fuel surcharge on its cruises from $5 per person per day to $7, effective April 21.

I guess $300 million in profits is just not enough for Mr. Arison and the gang at Carnival -

How about they lower the d/a/m/n parking then!!$20 a day is fricking ridiculous when you just dropped $800 and now an extra $50 bucks for fuel on a 7 day cruise!

WAIT STOP GUYS, I know bashing will continue, but go to expedia and look at cruise prices, carnival is $100 cheaper then all other cruise lines.

I'm a Royal carribian guy myself, but carnival is cheaper.

We just came from a Carnival cruise on Sunday. We had a great time onboard. Carnival is THE cheapest cruise line out there. Cruising is cheaper than most vacations.

Cruise ships offer relatively cheap vacations because they hire foreign workers who work for about 20% of what they would have to pay a US citizen.

Hiring someone to work 14 hours a day, seven days a week for about $700 per month allows for very cheap vacations.

That is one reason cruise ships and products made in China are so popular.
