What's going to happen to Oak Hollow Mall?

Visit Oak Hollow Mall just after the doors open each morning and you'll meet folks like Edith Plathow, who walks there for the exercise.

As an employee of one of the best known nationwide tennants of Oak Hollow Mall, High Point, NC, I see nothing but a downside. Our floor traffic and sales are pathetic.
The upscale clients who are the backbone of our clothing company only come if they've shopped with us before.
Rumor says corporate is seeking a stand alone location, similar to recently departed Talbots women's clothing. We deserve that.

Unfortunate because the location is great and has even greater potential. I think all that needs to be done is bring in some more stores. Because there is currently a lot of vacancies. People go to a shopping mall to shop and spend leisurely time with their families. Its simple, more stores equal more repeat customers and a little advertising wouldn't hurt either.

The smartest thing that the owners could do would be to strike a deal with Whole Foods to bring them into the vacant Belks building. Give them a break on the lease and watch the entire mall change for the better. The mall has never had any atmosphere and Whole Foods would be a major factor in adding it.

I would not put that past Nido Qubein (amazing guy), but no, I have not heard such. In fact, I recently received fliers from the mall about some promotion. So I don't think CB&L will pull out just yet.
