how to hack caterpillar ecm

how can i access my caterpillar ecm? im looking to increase fuel mileage and possibly power if mileage doesnt suffer as result. also can i change injector timing?

Not sure that I would try to do that. If you can find someone with the program on a laptop thats the way to go.

i would like to access the ecm the same way you can access the ecm on a passenger vehicle using tuner pro, c.a.t., or moaites for pulling info, changing parameters and analyzing info. instead of going to the dealer and being run over the coals each time. anyone out there think they can help?

Keep an eye out on ebay. saw one on there the other day. it was the whole computer and software.

Going into the ECM with a laptop and an ebay bought program wont get it done. That justs let you set the user/driver controls and reads and troubleshoots codes the the ECM has set. Anything to do with turning up the fuel/horsepower has to have a password from CAT.

where do i get the parts to get in the ecm and set user/driver controls?

doesnt anyone have a hacked program or a keygen gennerator for the caterpillar program. Or what about an older program.

We use a program to program those. By you changing something my mess things up. i would suggest against it. And any changes you are going to be held reliable and your warrent (if you have one) wont be valid anymore. so think about that before. if you bought it from cat contact someone. I will not tell you the program name that is confidential thru cat. but again doing this will void any warrenty. no promises there but just telling ya.

honestly buy a new monarch. it is acert tech. more horsepower uses less fuel.

I have a t2000 kw thats burns a lot of fuel it has no parameters and it dont pull hills like a cat is suppose to,do anyone know what could be wrong

you need to set the torque not so much horsepower though torque is where you get the pulling power you want or need.

going to have to reprogram it. there's more and more shops all acrross the us that can wash or over write the files in it now and tune it for your satisfaction..geanrally 600 to 1200 depending if its a c-15 or c15 acert..i do have the wash file for 70 pin ecm and can load sevral diffrent flies & fuel # to effect milage & performance

hey yall i have coolant leaking from the big orings of the oil cooler right at the end where the bonnet from the water pump hooks into it. everytime it gets cold outside the damm thing leaks.wtf and cat wont do anything for warranty. its a mxs 550hp cat.
