even if such things existed they would be illegal. contact your cat dealer to get it done legally

I got C15 -475hp 1850 in my 06 pete I got all but 60 k on it. Took a jake man. bolt it snapped some how. Other then that good runnin motor. It had a under frame resinator but well , ill let u figure it out. Runs fine . i pull grades at 70 loaded 18 speed. Doesnt get the greatest fuel economy but i sacrificed it for some snot. Cummin mech and detroit are okay. As far as the PX motors that paccars making it keeps cummins in biz alot of prob......good thing the price of steels up . Bad thing u have to take the px motors to a pete or kw dealer cummins dealers cannot do warranty work on em. in my book its bs

everybody is stupid that dont like cat engines there the best on the market. the acert cat C-15 twin turbo has good fuel economy and power and i havnt gotten any problems wit it. I own a 07 kenworth w900L i have over a 100,000 miles on it. I change the oil every month and the filters every 2 months.Detroit series 60 is a good engine but it only goes up 515hp and Cummins there is nothing 2 talk about there .garbage.trust me cat engines are the best on the market
Bull, These Cat C15s are one of the worst for fuel economy and pulling power.

I got out of a volvo with a ved 12 465 and I drove an 06 with a C15 and have been behind the wheel of an 04 C15 (both petes) and I have seen over a 1.5 mpg drop along with alot of struggling of these c15s to pull the same loads I could easily pull with that little ved 12. The company I work for has a pretty good fleet of units and non of the C15s come anywere close to getting the economy or pulling power of the Detroit 60s, the Big Cummins or the Volvo engines. Heck a w900 with an ISX will pull 1.5 mpg better then a Pete with a C15 in it.

hey I work for westrac, the cat dealer in nsw, the acert has only come out here recently and we have been having lots of complaints about low power and high fuel, there isnt many people here who like the acert, they all love the old c-15, they have always been a good engine

what do you think the best engine is a cat, cummins or detroit i think detroit overall but cummins and cat have more horsepower than detroit but detroits are good on gas and are very reliable comment back
I have an 05 c 15 acert(bxs) 474 hp/1850 in a 379 pete I have 865,000kms on it. The only problem ive ever had with the thing was a inhjector rocker arm broke and caused a dead cylinder. I phoned cat, they sent a toe truck to come get me, towed me to a dealer replaced the part, flipped the bill for everything including the tow. I was quite impressed....all with no questions asked. The thing out pulls all of out isx's in our fleet, and granted i dont do quite the fuel mileage they do I still average over 6mpg(US) so what more do ytou want??.......And lets not forget top notch resale.

the most common and easiest way is to input a modulating Pulse width signal (PWM) to the ecm. with serial no i can tell the correct pins...

Do you mean more rpm? How do you make correct PWM-signal? Have you actually done it?

yes the throttle input( engine speed control) lol. pillarimiehiš?

the PWM signal can be generated by a single pwm-potentiometer, more commonly know as the throttle position sensor. the pwm-signal modulates between 0 % and 100 % and thus generates the engine speed command from 0 to 100 %. let me know if you want some more info...

I have a C15 acert and I just purchased a Power Pack from the same company based in Atlanta - Platinum Performance. I got solid increases in my low to mid gears -- about 30hp increase. I also have noticed better fuel mileage. You guys should check them out - I agree with spike 64 - well worth $254! they are at www.performanceharness.com

I have an '06 Pete with a 475 ACERT and also just got out an '05 with the same twin-turbo Cat and I am HIGHLY disappointed with both!! Lousy fuel econonmy, poor power, VERY sluggish p/u from standing start and at highway speeds. Does anyone have any ideas how to cure this thing? Soft cruise is off along with 3 or four other things that were supposed to help it! NONE DID!! We just ran the overhead on it @ 60,000 miles and that did nothing, also! My 98 Freightliner with a 470 Detroit outperformed this yellow 'boat anchor'!!! Real world solutions now, not 'wire this to the tranny' type of crap please!! Thanx
I had those same issues. You should really look into performanceharness.com - I got a Power Pack and it took that lag away instantly! They are a global company and very reputable.

I'd be careful buying those parts on ebay. A friend of mine did and it really messed his engine up. You get what you pay for.

A lot of you need to get over the fact that cat engines were good, the acert tech engines suck, we just bought a new lowboy tractor that was supposed to be 550 hp, but our old 93 frieghtshaker with a 425 hp cat would run circles, around this new one, and the old got 6-7 mpg loaded to 78,000, this new one is lucky to get 3 loaded and 5 empty, we put air cleaners in every 3 months, and it only gets 2-3000 miles in that time, cat really f-ed up with these new acert, were currently shopping for an older cat engined truck to replace our new lowboy, so we can actually run 65-70mph so be clear most of us don't hate cat, we hate acert engines
Don't know what your problem is, I have an '05 379 with a 475 c-15. Running 80,000 lbs constantly and averaging 6.5mpg.
