I have an 1997 FL 50 with a 3126 engine, on my last trip the engine shut down on the highway. I have found that the 2 sencors on the back side of the front cover (top left of engine)above the compressor, were forced out of the block about 1/2 an inch, by something traveling out of place in the gear train on the front of the engine. It looks like the sencors were hit a few times each by what ever was out of place. Does anyone have any similar experiance or know what would cause this?
I am going to remove the front cover but was hoping for some insight first . Thanx Dave
