It would be nice if that were true. It would be nice if the numbers were accurate. They aren't of course. I have been unemployed since August. AFter working 11 years as an HR director for 250 employees in a large church, I was told they were downsizing HR. Churches are not required to pay into Unemployment. So I am not counted in any statistic since I cannot even apply for unemployment.There are many that have run out of benefits, have given up trying or keep getting turned away from job posibilities due to over qualification or other forms of discrimination.

It is known to all that decreasing the number of the unemployment rate as well as underemployment is a very difficult task. Some might say it is impossible but having a positive outlook and vision, even with the slightest decrease, it is a proof that our living is improving.
