Ativan now Biovail formulation is not the same product Wyeth use to manufacture. I did contact Biovail company. Their response was " only the tablet embossing has been changed ".Be very careful trying any BIOVAIL product.

I do know that medicine in USA specialy when you not responding to any of the generics is very expensive and people go for cheaper choices, but maybe there are people that know ATIVAN brand Wyeth before the drug was taken over in [2003] by Biovail. THIS MEDICATION SINCE 2003 IS NOT AN ATIANXIETY DRUG ANYMORE. I will not stop to stop BIovail. It was an efective medicine... Please if you know anything about the subject , RESPOND. Back in time we didn,t know what we know now.

I both with prescription in Belgium Temesta ,which suppouse to be the same drug as ativan. I remember 10 years ago temesta was a very effective Wyeth medication. Today after all those billion dollars deals between pharmaceuticals (it is all about them when we talk healthcare) The drugs are so unpredictable,You like to use the word defective a lot. Read all the comments about generics,that dont work ! Well i did buy Wyeth Temesta it is a brand of lorazepam . It is in my opinion not only not a brand formulation ,but a toxic one.You are urinating after taking them every 5 min. Wyeth it is too much We are talking peoples lifes here.

If you by any chance using Wyeth drug Temesta(lorazepam is an active ingredient) stop. Drug causes constant urination and it can lead to biger problems. Temesta years ago was a safe drug (wyeth was and still is a manufacturer). I am hurt by defective Biovail brand formulation of the drug Ativan . Today you not safe at all.Drugs are harmful, generic population of the drug brings lower prices but unsure efficacy. I am hurt by brand medication ( not effective from the day one). Ativan is not Viagra,Lipitor,Plavix. It is very ugly the pharmaceutical greed and disonesty. Anyway stay away from Wyeth Temesta and do not count on Brand Ativan. They are products of fraudulent activity ( Wyeth and Biovail).

Now Wyeth canada is distibuting defective Ativan.In october 2008 i did purchased this medication with doctors prescription,in person from canadian pharmacy. Pharmaceutical industry needs strong , honest authority so the medicine we use is safe .

Biovail drug Ativan is a fraud. This acquired from Wyeth antianxiety drug changed in efficacy after Biovail closed a deal and is marketing in USA medication different from original. Drug is defective,lacking robust way of acting. At the same time Wyeth worldwide changed self invented Ativan and ones working antianxiety medication trnsformed into unsafe sedative causing severe blood disorders not known before acquisition. Strong addictive properties both companys left untouched. Case like this screems for evaluation!

Biovail formulation of Ativan is not effective in in helping people with dignosed disorders with anxiety .It is benzodiazepine with anticonvulsant properties. No anticonvulsant can be changed in potency. After acqisition in 2003 Ativan,Temesta,Tavor lost it,s potency . This never suppouse take place.I tried to act ,sent samples to Biovail for evaluation. Pharmacy in New York didn,t provide me wDeith lot #.Today I am very ill because of this neglect.

Temesta manufactured by Wyeth in Belgium doesn't work as an antiannxiety drug as it usu to work. Drug causes polyuria ,blood disorders . All those side effects was not known and experienced until Wyeth lost the patent and sold the drug to Biovail in 2003. We can't erlaub such practices in pharmaceutical industry. Drugs changing it's potency , name suppouse to do the work. I am very ill . Where to look for justice?

Since I wrote my first comment about Wyeth selling it's blockbuster drug Ativan to Biovail, my health is like lost forever. I never misused the medication. I was diagnosed with an anxiety related disorder and treated by th doctors with helpful medication . In 2006 the when original Wyeth Ativan was not longer available worldwide,me healthy in general, became a patient of an oncologist,gasroenterologist,y ou name it! Wyeth/Biovail acqisition is a fraud.
