Funny how the courts issue and the Sheriff's Office serves THOUSANDS of these papers every year, but Chris Dumler's makes it to the news. For those who thought it was important enough to let the news reporters know about this, they need to GET A LIFE. Guess some folks are perfect and they enjoy seeing someone who is already being hammered by the media get more negative coverage. Oh well, perhaps they will get their own negative coverage someday...what goes around, comes around.

just sayin: this makes the news because they are hanging on every legal news story about Dumler, and it also has some viewer interest since part of the reason he beat Mr. Norwood for the supervisor's seat was by calling into question Norwood's ability to serve seeing as he had filed for once. The question then, is Chris Dumler qualified to serve since he too has financial problems. It's a stretch and a sideshow, but there it is.

Angie, you got that right! Monday he was served the papers to appear in court in May for not paying his debt. Tuesday, the petitions were filed. Wednesday he had to pay $3,100 to his credit union for his past due debt, and Friday the press picked up on the warrant in debt case and broadcast it. All that, and he had to report to jail for the weekend Friday evening. I read somewhere that he had to hire an attorney this week as he found out on Wednesday that he had to appear in court this coming Tuesday April the 2nd at 9:00 a.m. So how was your week?

i guess you, too, would get negative coverage if you sodomized someone. stop trying to protect this guy...unless, of course, you ARE this guy. why don't you get a life?

he would not have had a week like that if he had chosen not to sodomize someone.

This guy should not be representing the public -- arrogant and shifty.

Because only a few dozen, maybe a few hundred at most, people care a lick about what Dumler might or might not have done. What do you think? C'ville is the center of the universe or something?

A stretch? This guy has a law degree from one of the best law schools in the nation, is 27 years old, and says $50,000 or so to defend himself against felony charges would "break him financially," cannot pay a simple $3,000 loan (until it was made public, then he paid it), yet is responsible for handling the money of the taxpayers and we should trust him with that responsibility?

My questions about this serial fraud are:
1. What are you doing for a living and how come you cannot pay your bills even though you do not even own a home...you merely rent? If this guy is a lawyer, he is Ned Racine.
2. How can you dictate how millions are spent in taxpayer money but cannot even manage your own finances?
3. Norwood declared bankruptcy as the result of his business interests. He was an executive for a large consumer products company (shoes), retired and took a risk and opened a store (that is called entrepreneurism) and then opened a few more. His risk did not pan out and, like many businesspeople (including many now-successful ones), he declared bankruptcy. Dumler questioned this during the campaign? Well, now look at his record. It could be argued that Norwood mismanaged the complexities of a multi-site retail business and failed; then we see Dumler is mismanaging the relatively simple finances of one's personal life.
4. Yes, UVaCCU has to pursue people daily for debt. However, do you realize how far it has to go before they take you to court?
5. Have people checked his transcripts and record? Is he really a J.D. graduate?

This guy is such a pathetic creature. It will be a pleasure to see a Lynchburg judge (who, likely, is a conservative) bounce this turd out on his pointed head.

Just go away.

It is fortuitous (and perhaps by no means coincidental) that this Credit Union story came out just days before Dumler's Court hearing nest week. It bears on the issue of competency to represent the public- any portion of it whatsoever- on the County Board of Supervisors.Let's hope the Court also sees it that way.

Note that Chris Dumler, a lawyer, seems to need to be FORCED into doing anything!
5/15/09 - He was cited for driving with no inspection and had to be FORCED to comply
12/1/09 He was cited for driving with an Expired Registration and AGAIN had to be FORCED to comply, this time with an $86 fine
6/15/10 He was cited AGAIN for driving with an Expired Inspection and had to be FORCED to comply
10/4/12 He was arrested for Forcible Sodomy and after he plea bargained his way to a Sexual Battery charge, he was FORCED to give an apology AFTER he had claimed that the women simply conspired to set him up. No apology rendered UNTIL he was FORCED to comply!
3/21/13 Dumler was charged with a debt he didn't pay and had to be FORCED to pay it in a court of law. Almost $1,000 was court costs, interest and lawyers fees!!! Don't you think that an attorney would KNOW there would be costs incurred if the debt went in to collection, but even facing a $1,000 penalty was not enough to make him pay. He had to be FORCED to pay and then incur the punishment. Do you not see a pattern of behavior here? Now he's going to court tomorrow, April 2, at 9:00 a.m., to face a petition movement to be FORCED from office because he would not choose the penalty-less way out, which is to resign. The penalty? It's all around him. Loss of money now (this warrant inn debt is a case in point), loss of future earnings due to his sullied reputation, loss of public respect, loss of trust. It's interesting Karma that the man who would FORCE a woman against HER will is now being FORCED to do all these things against HIS will, including going to Court, and going to Jail.

I wonder who covered his debt this time? Last time he got Cynthia Neff to post his bond. Speaking of Neff, I wonder how her DUI appeal goes today -- maybe she'll try to blame her conviction on TVRWC (The Vast Right Wing Conspiracy).

Just a simple case of DWD (Driving While Democrat) ;)

He might be renting/living somewhere else, but according to county property records, he owns a house on Jefferson Mill Rd. Looks like he bought it last July.
