I strongly support Barr Laboratories' position. Today I went to fill a prescription for Pataday, and was shocked when they told me that the 2.5 mL bottle would cost me $99.36 (I don't have insurance). I understand that patents do serve a purpose but Pharmaceutical companies are definitely abusing when it comes to setting prices for the drugs they manufacture. Pataday, Ambien CR and other drugs should be more affordable for Americans than they are now.
