Hollywood stars are already planning to leave the country to avoid higher taxes. American business will do the same. Look for pro sports ticket prices to double at afford to pay new taxes on multi million dollar salaries.
jimmy carter days are set to return on steroids.
Oh, my goodness. Pro sports ticket prices will double. Whatever will we do?

And to think, there are families out there struggling to put food on the table.

And: You think jimmy carter days were a picnic? Cars got 8 MPG, so, today's cars go further per dollar than back then. People were driving their cars to the scrap yards and selling them for a penny a pound to get money to feed their families. Jobs paid $3.50 an hour during jimmy carter if you could find a job during carter's 15% unemployment!
I looked up some stats. At the height of Opec Oil Embargo in 1976, gas was around $2.50 a gallon.

When Daddy Bush started HIS war in the Middle East, gas went up to 3.39 a gallon in 1981.

The last year of Clinton's administration gas was below 1.58.

The last year of Baby Bush's administration, gas has been as high as $4.50 a gallon.

Why is it that those Bush years saw higher gas prices than at any time in history?

Of course there will be double-digit unemployment because the wheels of financial disaster have already been put in motion by Bush and his Idiot Committee. First Obama has to try to fix the brake on the train that Bush broke off before everything wrecks.
Of course, conservatives have the memory of a rock so they won't remember who created the mess in the first place. Hannity will run his piehold about how it's all Obama's fault and the sheep will follow their shepherd.
Stop being partisan and see things (the past, the present and what holds for the future)for what they are.

Didn't you know that politics is the last refuge of scoundrels?
