First they give us credit cards and tell us to go out and spend. Then when we spend they tell us we've spent too much and charge us more for doing so. Then they take our jobs away so we don't have cash to spend and can't pay the extra charges they put on us for using those credit cards. Then they jack up the prices of everything so we can't buy anything anyway.

The credit industry has helped created this fiasco, and there's little I can do to demonstrate my displeasure at it except to not buy anything I don't absolutely have to have.

I have had no confidence since bush took over the nation and destroyed employment. With so many unemployed and so many more becoming unemployed over the course of the last 8 years, it would have been foolhardy to buy much.

bush's suggestion after 9/11 to go shopping was an indication of the trouble he was going to get us into. I don't buy anything new either. I have been in the same house since 1985. I won't have a car that was manufactured when bush was in office (so nothing after 1999). I keep all other purchases to a minimum.

Yes indeed, the above self-serving bag of manure wants you to ignore history and Americanism and follow her down a path of socialist stupidity.
Rest assured the above gutless wonder would feed her fellowmen to the wolves just like Obama and the gutless democRat Party tried to feed the good men, women and children of Iraq to the wolves...despicable.
I'm sure the moment the above nitwit noticed gasoline prices jumping by leaps and bounds she was busy addressing the issue by writing her congressperson and telling them what that could do to the economy.

Dear Mr. democRat Congressman,
The ever increasing price of gasoline could bring down every industry in America and put struggling families out of their homes. What are you going to do about it?
Sincerely,
ladeeda

Dear ladeeda you expendable constituent,
We are going to bow to our Global Warming Marxist contributors and while the Republican Party is in the midst of solving the energy crisis we democRats are going on vacation. And when we get back we'll use the disastrous economy that we created in the last two years since morons like you made us a congressional majority and blame it all on John McCain. That way Barack Obama will look like a genius and hapless lemmings everywhere will buy it.
Your pal,
Harry Reid

Times running out! We've been duped and need to wake up with all this crazy spending. It won't be long until there will be no money to help our countrymen when a natural disaster hits. In a way our government isn't there for us anyway only to take our money and money from generations to come. Soon the only way to make money fast enough is waging several continual wars. The 150 plus war profiteering politicians know this only so well as they grow fat.
As the economy tanks the war industry keeps growing with no money crisis in site. CAN YOU SEE the writing on the walls? Tell all your friends not to vote one senator or congress person in office who voted 'YES' for the (elite socialistic) bail out package. There were far better options on the table to vote for at the time. Watch Cspan to see/hear this for yourself. Included are Senators Obama, Biden and McCain who voted "YES" for the Marxist package. Kick them all to the street before they can vote another bail out package that is giving the failed CEOs millions of dollars for a bonus! Don't believe me research and google it or see it on YouTube.
A simple way to view all candidates platforms and issues can be seen at: http://www.ontheissues.org Take a simple quiz to find which candidates suit your principals and beliefs. No excuses. Don't waste one more vote on corrupt good old boys/girls. You can be find a list at: http://www.votesmart.com of the Senate and House who voted for the 850 BILLION corporate welfare bailout filled with pork! Thanks for helping getting the word out. This and only this will send a message to the congress, senate and the media. Enough is enough. Roar! THIS IS MY youthful RANT!!! GRRRRaaaaarhl! Dare to view and stay the same. http://www.spymac.com/details/...

Employment? Employment has boomed under President GW Bush, you should get out of your house more often. Employment boomed even with 9/11, 2 wars and 4 hurricanes.
Two years ago whining nitwits like you made democRats a congressional majority and since then it's been downhill for America. Now the fears of a coming Obamanation will not ignite the market. Why? Why? Why? a whiner like you asks? Where's the incentive when socialism is the program? Who wants to take market and business risks when the future with Obama looks extremely risky with no rewards? Barack Obama is bad for business and worse for America...Quit your whining and stand up for Americanism, slacker.

That's because we saw our tax dollars go to pay bank CEO's bonuses and their shareholders dividends for acting incompetently and criminally. The money that was supposed to be used for small business loans isn't being loaned. Why are we spreading the wealth to thieves and punishing the working and middle classes? I'm a small business owner for Obama. I have had enough of the REAGAN legacy, policies of BUSH and GRAMM that McCain wants to CONTINUE. My question, as a small business owner is, why do they want to punish me for working hard? Why do I have to lay off workers and conduct business in such an unstable economy? Why don't we let the bad banks FAIL? Why don't we prosecute the CEO's for FRAUD?

You're exactly the reason many people won't vote for McCain. He's as out of touch with the rest of the country as you seem to be.

They are right. Why have confidence ? You would have to be very stupid to think they will ever pay off the national debt.

I have gold, silver, guns, bullets, fishing poles, garden seeds, and extra saved canned and dry foods.

I dumped, stocks, bonds, credit cards and 401k.

Why.

1. Outsourcing jobs.
2. Globalization.
3. NAFTA.
4. WTO.
5. Islamic extemism.
6. The governments loyalty to corporations.
7. The governments loyalty to wallstreet.

See ya later SUCKERS, buy stocks.

HA HA.

Maybe the 2nd or 3rd time you remember in your lifetime, but there have been plenty of economic upheavals over the years in this country.

Here's an assignment for you. Look up the Great Depression of 1929. Compare the reasons why it happened, the type of administration that was in office at the time, the attitudes of society at the time, and what it took to get America out of that horrendous (and it WAS horrendous) economic disaster.

It's frighteningly similar to what we are experiencing now, and if it remains so, the worst is yet to come.
