Obama Barack will not be able to rescue America despite his tall talks and in fact under his leadership the US will further lose layers of its superpower status.

obama economics will create double digit unemployment for 4 long years. He'll be juggling his pack of lies until they all come falling down at once.
Hollywood stars are already planning to leave the country to avoid higher taxes. American business will do the same. Look for pro sports ticket prices to double at afford to pay new taxes on multi million dollar salaries.

Do you mean all come tumbling down, like now with the bush economy? bush has already kicked so many companies out. No wonder China and India are doing so well. I'd bet some stars could get jobs in bollywood.

Ahhh, the good old Carter days when gas was $1.00 per gallon and you could buy a can of soda for a quarter (15 cents in some places).

The stock market is falling 400 to 500 points a day since the news of obama's victory. Smart money is leaving the country before obama can tax the middle class out of their life savings. America had a record high stock market, record high home values, and very low unemployment until Pelosi's Democratic Congress won a controlling majority in 2006. It's been a downhill slide into oblivion ever since with the liberal news media totally destroying consumer confidence in order to sway the election to obama.

The Bush economy was the strongest in American history until the Democrats took Control of Congress in 2006 and sank America into the toilet.
And: You think jimmy carter days were a picnic? Cars got 8 MPG, so, today's cars go further per dollar than back then. People were driving their cars to the scrap yards and selling them for a penny a pound to get money to feed their families. Jobs paid $3.50 an hour during jimmy carter if you could find a job during carter's 15% unemployment!

Just wait till next year. Republicans will be pointing fingers at Obama, and saying "it's all his fault."

Conservatives have the memory and attention span of a goldfish.

Hundreds of thousands of Americans were put back to work under FDR's jobs program. The TVA was created during that time that opened up a lot of jobs. Many people learned new skills and trades. They were able to feed their families and stay out of the soup kitchens.

Government jobs programs would be far better than the welfare system we currently have where we pay people to sit on their dead butts. A welfare check should come with the expectation of work, unless that person is elderly or disabled.

What about the bankers checks for $700+billion? That's the biggest welfare check ever.

You have got to be joking. No one would believe the bush economy was good.

My first car was a 1964 VW bug. It got 33 mpg. I know there were some cars that got worse. Most cars went 100,000 miles then you drove them to the junkyard; but they were cheaper.

bush cooked the unemployment numbers. If you use the same method for calculating unemployment as was used in Carter's time, our current unemployment would be about 18%; a lot worse than Carter's term (around 10%). Inflation has been out of sight so that same $3.50 per hour would now be about $12.00 per hour. Let's see you find a job that pays that high.

Of course there will be double-digit unemployment because the wheels of financial disaster have already been put in motion by Bush and his Idiot Committee. First Obama has to try to fix the brake on the train that Bush broke off before everything wrecks.

Of course, conservatives have the memory of a rock so they won't remember who created the mess in the first place. Hannity will run his piehold about how it's all Obama's fault and the sheep will follow their shepherd.
