I am used to team two nics (1 Gb/s each) using SLB and am now noticing that the Teamed adapter is not summing their bandwidtch and remains at 1 Gb/s. Sometimes I see HP servers whcih do show 2 Gb/s and someone told me it has to be fiber and a copper combination in order to see the change in speed. Seems weird and unclear to me, if anyone could please explain this phenomenon.
P.S. I am using Broadcom Advanced Control Suite.
