I'm glad you're not leaving Downtown like so many have. I'm a native Tulsan (went to Central while it was still at 6th & Cincinati, and still live in the older part of town)

Another waste of taxpayer's money. They need to be spending that money fixing the streets and our education system. And parents need to be more involved in their kid's lives. And I'm praying for them that God will forgive them. And I have a feeling the sister knows more than she's telling.

Oh wait! None of the usual cliches that people post on these boards fit this story, do they?

-Good luck to it! I hope that you're going to keep the SkyCam system going. Come to think of it; this has nothing to do with your building plans, but do you have plans to put a news helicopter back into the air?

I noticed you described your new building as "high tech", does this mean you have incorporated green technologies such as geothermal climate control or solar panels? Seems to me that in the midst of global climate change, a media building would be developed using green technologies.

What do you mean about wasting the tax payer's money? Are you sure you have the right story? Sister knows more than she's telling? I think one of us is confused.

Good luck to Channel 6 - looks like a cool place to be.

I'm just wondering what kind of, if any, tax breaks are they going to get and/or is there a sales tax funding any part of this move?

You're thinking of Ranger 8, which is a different station obviously. Skynews 6 crashed last year. This building does include a helicopter pad however so obviously they plan on replacing it. This will also be the only TV studio with a focus on education and tours as well.
Griffin is doing this without any city-funded assistance and I believe this will actually help (a little) the TIF that is already in place in the brady.

I'm just asking if there is a tax break for building in the area they are building in, and is there any taxpayer funding helping with this venture? A yes or no, to both questions, is all I ask.

Oh and it is "their" not there. And it is "think" not "thing" you mean.

whose the architect?

I am continually amazed at how rude the media is when an entire story about a new building fails to mention the people who created that building.

It would be the same if you did an entire story about a sculpture and then not tell anyone who the artist was.

please tell us who the architect is.
