So if 11,000 barrels per day is being captured, and that still hasn't STOPPED the flow, we can assume that a minimum of 528,000 plus barrels have already entered the Gulf! Thats 22,180,000 plus gallons headed for shore!

Unusually idiotic post. The same 'wingnuts who screamed "drill, baby, drill!" now want to blame him because BP kept drilling...and blame him for not cleaning it up...and blame him for suspending MORE drilling! You people are really confused, you don't know which way to jump, do you?
Where was the MMS under BUSH? He was President when this well, and many others, were drilled, did you know that? He did nothing to clean up oil-drilling regulation, did you know that? He and Cheney were in the oil companies' back pocket, did you know that?
No...because you don't know much.

Mr_Bill blames Obama for NOT closing the USA nuclear power plants before a major accident or terrorist event occurs.
This little oil spill is nothing compared to a nuclear release.
What is Obama waiting for?
Close 'em NOW!

Woof, There are two issues at work:
1) The Actual Leak: It is correct that BP has more technology to stop the leak in the "near term" than the U.S. Government. However, from the beginning, the Obama Administration did not assume a managerial role, and require detailed reporting on a daily basis. This was incompetence.
2) Oil Pollution from the Leak: It is true that BP can be held financially responsible for damages. However, from the first day, the Federal Government had DIRECT RESPONSIBILITY and had no excuse from a technological point of view not to take control of both the SHORELINE PROTECTION and SHORELINE CLEANUP efforts. The Obama administration's continued "passing the buck" to BP on this is unconscionable and unforgivable. This is not simply incompetence, it is intentional neglect. The Media is asleep on this.
One can only conclude that either Obama is Jimma Carter on steroids, or he and his administration actually want an "Oil Disaster" to advance CAP AND TRADE. I ask you liberals, is Obama smart or stupid? If your answer is "smart", than your only conclusion is that he is extending the damage of this disaster intentionally.
