How have the people along the Gulf Coast and the Redneck Riviera voted in past years? Have they supported the politicians who have loosened offshore drilling regulations and capped the liability of the oil companies? Have they remained silent while the oil companies had their way, just so long as those royalty checks kept coming to the state (except for Louisiana)? Do you think they'll have the courage to vote them out of office, even if it means voting for someone sho supports, say, socialized medicine and is a treehugger?

Just wondering.

A full 45 days after this catastrophe, we still do not have a solution. It looks like the idiots at BP could not plug a leaky toilet.

Time to stop fooling around and have the US Government come in, take over the entire process, and nationalize BP. Then we could get this fixed and begin working on cleaning up the damage that has been done.

Please, Mr. Obama, we need you now to take control and solve this crisis.
