Its not that I really disagree with the man in the end, but its amazing to see somebody as out of touch a this...

Maybe because many people have lost job concerns? Its a problem when "experts" get so out of touch in their cozy jobs at places like Yale. Its completely possible to overrule those job concerns by prioritizing safety in this case, but to so casually dismiss the job loss fears of other in these times indicates the man is essentially useless for real world consultations.
