Katrina was Bush's best example of how little the government can respond to disasters. This is Obama's Katrina and he is just NOW flying over this disaster? What a wimp. He criticized the hell out of Bush but look what's going on here? He waited 8 days to even convene his cabinet to even go to the Gulf? Sad example of govt. And yet some of you bozos think govt should be in charge of our lives? Wake up.

Just wondering, what should he have done?

Ummmm... start getting involved (government) about 5 days earlier, would have helped instead of doing his usual thing... pointing fingers and calling people out.

I wish he'd just go away! Or better yet, perhaps an extended tour "getting laughs" with Jay Leno. When is a single liberal going to admit that this Kenyan jerk is not leadership material? Affirmative Action Stooge? Absolutely! Capable of the heavy lifting requied to carry this country? I wouldn't let him carry my diaper bag.

You have to really wonder about the direction of the Republican Party these days. Obama is no saint, but every time the Tea Partiers show up, some racial hate group is caught on camera being front and center of the movement. The Republican Party finally gets a Democratic President to sign off on more offshore oil drilling only to see BP's rig blow up in the Gulf of Mexico while threatening vital fishing jobs in the south. Cutting taxes and limiting government hasn't helped anybodies economy (see California), and now the Party has cut off any hopes to woo Hispanic voters with its recent stance on immigration reform. Did Arizonans miss the disastrous results of the 2008 Presidential Election in which Hispanics overwhelming cast their votes for Obama? No Child Left Behind did nothing to address public education problems and we're still enmeshed in two wars going nowhere fast.

Both parties are rotten and on the take from lobbyists. We need 2 or 3 term limits on all politicians. They're suppose to serve the people not themselves. Do your duty then go back to the private sector.

Start getting involved in what way? How do you know what he did or didn't do? Its easy to criticize, but what should he have done?
