Obama: We’re “Not That Far Removed From What Most Americans Are Going Through”

http://gatewaypundit.firstthings.com/2010/07/...

The president told ABC that his family is not that far removed from what most Americans are going through right now. Really?

President Obama says he can relate to the plight of Americans striving in the struggling economy to pay bills while saving for their kids’ education.

He says he and first lady Michelle Obama took a hit like everybody else when the economy nearly collapsed, telling ABC that a college fund for daughters Malia and Sasha has gone “up and down” with the stock market.

Obama says the first couple is “not that far removed from what most Americans are going through.” He tells the network “it was just a few years ago that we had high credit card balances, we had two kids, thinking about college. We had our own retirement accounts, wondering if we were going to be able to get enough assets in there.”

(Excerpt)

----------

Michelle Obama, daughter Sasha to vacation separately in Spain — over president’s birthday...‘All activities are closed press’...30 rooms at 5-star hotel...5-day trip to follow weekend on FL’s Gulf Coast, precede 10-day vacation on Martha’s Vineyard.

yep, sounds just like my life.

(They are about as far removed as the distance between Earth and the EDGE OF THE KNOWN UNIVERSE.)

reminds me of the BP CEO's quote about being able to get on with his life.
poor little Hussein...

Ha! There is no more appropriate place to send this lying pile of garbage after what he did to our environment. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

By that logic shouldn't Barak Obama step down as well. We all know that this spill could have been stopped more quickly had the Obungler activated a U.S. Navy SEAL squad to address it. We all know that AmeriCorps could have helped clean up ther mess. What Obama doing? Meeting with Rosie Odonnel? That ain't no change I believe in!

No, following the Bush/Cheney models of domestic and foreign policies, Obama should have given billions of $$$ in the form of no-bid contracts to ACORN and then invade France after leveling London and sending in the SEAL teams into the Thames River.

What on earth are you referring to? The Barak O'bungler I know screwed up the appeal of the relaesa of the Lockerbie bomber, he completely mismanaged the BP spill, He's catatonic concerning the Wikileaks, and I hear he might hire Michael Moore to replace Hillary as Sec. of State.

Michael M-O-O-R-E!!!

Oh...I thought you said he gave a "job well done" pat on the back and a "thumbs up" to Michael B-R-O-W-N...you're right it was B-U-S-H who hired him and then told BROWN he was doing an outstanding job preparing for and handling the Katrina fiasco.

Squandering? oh...you must have been referring to the sympathy and good will America received from the international community following the 9/11 attacks.

Catatonic? Oh...you must have been referring to the look on Bush's face when he was interrupted with news about the attacks on the World Trade Towers while he was struggling with the children's book, "The Pet Goat."

Why didn't you say so!!! ROTF LMFAO!!
