It appears that SV is losing all of it's companies to silicon valley..with Seagate leaving this spring that town will dry up during the week, well the week-end NOTHING is going on there.
That's alot of businesses that will be hurting for that lunch crowd..

Scotts Valley Government is going to have lower its tax or give some kind of incentive to attract businesses back from San Jose.

Let's not forget the pot plants .. check out the likely places (like light industrial use bay rentals). Everyone knows this is going on, everyone is looking the other way. Oops don't take a deep breath or you'll be high. Landlords just want the rent and don't care how the space is used.
Propane tanks and jury-rigged electricity may not mix well. Are small businesses required to be licensed? If not, they should be and that license should be a requirement of a landlord to rent to them. How often are these places inspected for code violations? Just sayin'...

Wait, can't we blame the loss of this business on ultra-liberal Scotts Valley's anti-business attitudes?

No?

Well darn!

Santa Cruz County might as well hang up the idea of growing any major new high-tech company here. All the money and most of the talent is over the hill; most companies that are growing fast, go over the hill.

If you don't want a gun don't own one. Nobody is forcing you to defend yourself. The police are always just a phone call away. They'll be here shortly.
