Hey Matt - maybe you should get together with Creative and make an offer on the courthouse steps!
There are bargains to be had if you can swing it....

That would make a GREAT location for a theme park.

... Yeah, I was just thinking that in this economy, only Santa Claus could save us. How about a theme park named "Santa's Village"?

Something isn't quite right about this story. E-mu systems is at 1500 Green Hills Rd and Central Coast Alliance for Health is at 1600 Green Hills Rd. Me thinks they are not effected and the number of parcels is 2 (1800 and 1700 Green Hills Rd) and not 5. Borland was in 1700 and 1800 Green Hills Rd. It was never in or owned 1600 or 1500. Unless FPA owned 1600 and 1500 before 2006, these buildings have different owners.

How about "Lost World"? I miss seeing those dinosaurs from the highway. I know its on the wrong side of the highway, but I just wanted to put in my two cents.

I read recently that economists are predicting commercial real estate will be next on the "hit" parade, following the fall of residential real estate. I believe this prediction has merit!

That area could become the main entrance to the Mystery Spot. It's a mystery why anyone would want to go there twice.

I say we rezone and use the land for low income housing.

It is already here. Go to downtown Santa Cruz.

Ironic that the Sentinel has to report that its own building is going to be foreclosed on. Perhaps a move back to downtown is in the cards?

Well... Just about everyone I know including myself, won't go downtown unless necessary. It's a sad situation for business owners downtown who are trying to bring tax revenues into the community and the city council lets that all happen and not do anything about it.

Borland did at one time have some offices on the 2nd floor of 1600 Green Hills Rd. But I agree with the above posts that I don't think this developer owned that building
