Now I know what bank I will not do business with. Anyone with the threat of affordable housing being forced upon their neighborhoods (like in the San Marin area of Novato) who bank here should immediately pull out their savings and close their accounts and tell the bank why. They have now become the enemy to good neighborhoods.

Why don't they post the money in a surety account that victims of crime committed by housing projects dwellers can seize after getting a judgment against the poor judgment proof people?

i.e. they build low income housing in a neighborhood against the neighbors' demands, the neighbors suffer crime coming from the project, there is no way to collect damages from the criminals because they are on welfare. Let the housing project developers put their money where their mouth and their profits are.

Marin Housing Authority is a cover scam for crooked owners.
The inspections done by their SPECIAL inspectors are fraudulent in that they approve of bad old carpet, cracked bathroom floors, moldy cabinets and stuck doors and windows..as well as mail boxes that do not work. Because so many of their clients have a mental disability, they think they can get away with this...and they DO.
Hence, the clients suffer headaches, nausea, and other easily remedied maladies....as well as exacerbated mental symptoms.
If a client asks for repairs..the owner simply has OTHER tenants accuse the person of some kind of violence or threats or whatever suits their mood...to SHUT THEM UP with FEAR of LOSING THEIR VOUCHERS.
After asking for repairs and NO ACTION
My friend received a letter from the SUPERVISOR of MHA...suggesting he had ONE MORE CHANCE..or she would be homeless...over pure lies...told by known lease violators.
She has been ill and way more nutso since that letter...ANYONE WOULD BE!!!!
This supervisor is UNREPENTANT....a real Machiavellian thug.
This dynamic duo is the reason so many take to illicit drug and alcohol abuse and cigarettes.
They are never REALLY housed..more like WAREHOUSED.
Many get JAILED by the "favored tenants...shills".
I know one very nice woman who came to MHA with no criminal record and was JAILED for SPITTING at a CHARGING JUNKIE...which she DID do..to STOP the forward aggression....jail!
I would like to see that cop FIRED!
The pd play right along...belittling one side or simply OMITTING it..while exagerating the other...always in a way to NOT allow the SLUMLORD to face any lawsuit .
The suffering goes on.
SHAME ON YOU MHA AND PD for enabling these slumlords.

I agree...and the reason is MHA..they are as corrupt as can be..from the TOP down.
They ENCOURAGE CRIME..alcoholism and drugging ans cigarette smoking.
They DO NOT POLICE their clients..and many wind up homeless on lies.
If MHA could START OVER...with a completely new staff...there would be hope..but as it is nothing will change.
And the thug druggies WILL come to your hood..bullying the disabled..and getting supported by MHA.
It's true..the thugs are organized and take advantage of MHA...as the staff are just too sexy to do their jobs.
You are right to fear LI housing..as long as MHA is part of the deal...vote NO on any new development.
Or you will find yourself subject to DAILY humiliations..from these con artist punks.

Well, the Wall Street parasites that would write up those bonds and skim off the vigorish think that is a great idea. After all, we wouldn't want them to have to actually get a real job creating real things would we? Just more interest payments for society to have to pay off.

This is great news... Low income does not equate to criminal action. With the Economic Crisis across the Country we are still recovering from, a lot of what use to be middle income families now qualify for affordable housing. There are plenty of working families living in Affordable Housing. I sincerely hope non of the above posters have medical issues are Assn economic downfall that requires them to seek affordable housing. It can happen to anyone. A lot of Real Estate agents, Companies going bankrupt, companies being out sourced, companies losing all of their profits to Wall Street caused the need for additional Affordable Housing. There are a lot of working people living in affordable housing units. There are alot of seniors living in Affordable Housing. There are alot of disabled people living in Affordable Housing and yes there are Low Income living in Affordable Housing. By the Grace of God, there go I ...
