The overcrowded Beverly Hills Supper Club in Southgate burned to the ground on May 28, 1977, killing 165 people there for a Memorial Day weekend dinner and show by singer John Davidson.

The Beverly Hills Supper Club was NOT overcrowded that night.The true story is in a new book by Bob Webster "The Beverly Hills Supper Club Fire Book". Gov. Carroll threw Southgate under the bus!
