Barnes and Noble unveils e-reader, the 'Nook'
US bookstore giant Barnes and Noble on Tuesday jumped into the electronic book reader market dominated by Amazon's Kindle, unveiling a wireless touchscreen device called the "Nook." The Nook costs 259 dollars -- the same price as the basic Kindle -- and will be available at the end of November, Barnes and Noble said.

I hope the screen in sturdier than on the kindle, I broke mine after 3 weeks and had to send it to a third party kindle repair service to get it fixed http://www.portatronics.com/index.php... . I think they should make those ebook readers more ruggedized, since they’re intended lugged around and prone to be in bags with other stuff or exposed to water.
