Thank you for your fine article. I could not agree more... ethics and setting a better example for others is long overdue.

I'm a bit confused here - I thought the root cause of the banking problem dates to a 1970's redevlopment act aimed at home ownership for otherwise unqualified borrowers - implementation of which was ramped up hugely in the 1990's. This would seem to indicate collusion, if not intimidation by the government in encouraging the banks fulfilling their mandate of fiscal irresponsibility. You would think a third party shoud preside over the interrogations, and Chis, the mortgage man, Dodd and Barney, home business, Frank would take their rightful place on the downhill side of the room.
