Isn't Madoff giving this information up to get a lighter sentence? It doesn't appear so and I am very surprised he wouldn't be trying to reduce his sentence by spilling the beans.

It is clear that Madoff is not cooperating with the authorities. At his sentencing, the judge should take this stonewalling into account and slap him with the maximum sentence.

Did Bernie hide money? Probably not, his family knew exactly where it was and I am sure they have access to hidden funds around the world they just need to keep it away from the government for a few years before they start accessing it. Why has the trustee not gone after the sons assets considering that Bernie "loaned" each tens of millions of dollars over the years?

They better check the banks in Switzerland and the Bahamas. then they should check all of the accounts of Madoff's brother and 2 sons everything they have is probably dirty money.

They should put him in Rikers for a few days. He'd be glad to give it up. If he dosen't the mates will take it off. Treat him like the thief he is.

7 million, huh? Well that should be enough for 4 tickets to a yankee game, less parking and booze.

Thank you!
