Unbridled state spending, huge growth of state government, dependency on a few high end industries now tanking....sounds like the Perfect Storm is coming for CT.

Don't think the state is bereft of ideas, though ... it's suggesting yet another kind of lottery ticket.(Which probably would only cannibalize sales of current products.)

What are all those bureaucrats going to do when the tax base dries up?

Indeed, the perfect storm Mike. I hope the state government is listening, as well as town governments. I know Wethersfield has had UNBRIDLED spending on ridiculous items for years. Enough with the relentless increases. It's time for serious cuts. DO IT.

SO, "let's TAX the 'rich' more"!

Isn't this what some of the more pathetic, Liberal Legislative CT minds are saying?!

They are either stupid, clueless or divisive.
(Thanks CT voters).

The clowns in Hartford have no idea how severe the State is going to be hit.

Capital Gains will all but disappear.
Job loss will kill income tax revenue.
Nobody is spending on anything but essentials killing the sales tax.
Car sales are dead - so much for helping town property tax rolls as cars depreciate.

As the economy worsens though tax revenue from Alcohol sales should go up though

I lost my job, my marriage and my house. I'm going to Foxwood's to lose the last few dollars I have, before they go bankrupt.

Let those budget deficits rip! No love lost between me and Corrupticut, the UnConstitution State, a state in Denial.(Denial is NOT a river in Egypt. It IS a river in CT.)

Old McDonald's Farm is a Lawless place. Relland carries baggage for Rowl. Bloomy for Dog Catcher. Perez and DeStephony, go straight to jail. Doddo Bird, Liebermouth and SubRosa DeLauro, all overcooked.

Unionize them and give them binding contracts starting at their present income. Problem solved-- Connecticut style.

Everyone seems aware of that except for the legislature. It's been business as usual.
