Red Fitness is a farce. They closed their location on East Park Blvd. I joined when it was a Bally's to play racquetball. They never explicitly informed me that they would be closing. I learned from a friend on Friday 2/8 that they would be closing on either 2/12 or 2/13. They did in fact close. I have attempted to cancel my membership. I have been told that I can cancel but not until I pay AGAIN on 3/4/12. I am expected to pay even though the facility no longer exists. I understand that I can't cancel because they have 2 other locations within 6 miles of the East Park Blvd location. I do not know where those clubs are at, but I do know that they don't offer racquetball.

Red Fitness needs to offer refunds to the users of the Beachwood facility that have pre-paid. Severance town center is a 40 minute round trip for me, not something I'm going to do every day for an hour-long workout after a 10 minute round trip to Beachwood. The other local facilities are garbage compared to the one at Beachwood. It's a bait-and-switch.

I just wish they would have been better at communicating with members. I wasted a drive out to Beachwood, had no idea they were closing. I'm happy the Severance gym is open again but I wish I had known that day because Severance is way closer to me. Just send us an email Bally! I had trouble a couple years ago too when LA fitness bought the Pittsburgh gym I originally joined. They made it so hard for me to cancel the LA fitness membership and wanted me to show up in person to do it. I'm not driving from Cleveland to Pittsburgh to cancel something I didn't authorize.

Red Fitness 24/7 LLC is a joke. Joined Red Fitness in Akron, Ohio (Lakemore / Tri-County Plaza) in July 2013, by August 2013 equipment & everything gone. No notice given. The plans were cheap...main reason I joined along with being close & convenient. Guess there's truth to "if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is :(

Red Fitness closes their business in Lakemore for 3 months and reopens again without informing their members. When I did find out I cancelled my membership 3 months ago and continue to be charged.

Don't give them your bank account information.

red fitness should NOT REFUND your money. You did not pay them. You paid bally total fitness. If you need a refund respond to bally total fitness, they were the ones that didnt give you notice that they sold their buisness and didnt give you the chance to say whether you wanted to continue with the new business or leave. A company who recieved nothing from you shouldnt loose money they never recieved bc the previous business didnt do their job.

30 days notice is a common business practice even fitworks does it. Dont be negative for bally total fitness not conducting proper business. Red fitness never had intentions on opening the beachwood branch.
