That's nice that Bally's has the cash to buy Crunch. When are Crunch workers going to be paid? It has been over two pay periods since some workers in the Smyrna, GA Crunch location have been paid. Maybe someone should start telling the patrons that the workers are not being paid in a timely manner?

Now who is going to pay all the customers who were charged services, they never received? And, good luck to the members who want out from their membership.
Their "Member Services Hotline" one eight hundred, five-four-seven, one-seven-four-three is pure ETERNAL DEATH HOLD!

I was a Pinnacle member until Bally bought Pinnacle. Then Bally sold Pinnacle to Crunch. Now Crunch says my dues are unpaid even though they have already automatically deducted my dues from my checking account. Crunch stinks. They are crooks. They never answer their phone. Their websie screws up my computer. They stole my money. They belong in jail.

Recently Bally's sold their NYC gyms to Crunch. I have now been billed for two memberships and no one at Crunch has the decency to return calls or e-mails. The manager at Crunch told me to call Bally's, that they are the ones who charged but after some investigation this proved to be false. Crunch's 800# is eternal death hold. File complaints with the Better Business Bureau, folks. That's what I am going to do.

Crunch Fitness just direct debited 3 TIMES my normal membership. That's right, they completely drained my cking account. And trying to get a hold of a live person is impossible. You are forced to leave a message on their answering machine. How 1986.
I just filed a complaint with the BBB. I actually did have a rep call me back the following day but she told me they would issue a refund in 30 days. How is it they cannot reverse the charges like any normal company. These guys are unreal!
To anyone interested in working out here, I'd recommend you look elsewhere unless you don't care about having your bank account illegal drained by these bozos!

If some of you can't determine the difference between selling and buying; You can't possibly understand the terms of a gym membership. I have been a member for several years. I never had any problems because my payments are always up to date, and I read the fine prints on the contract for regulation and policies. Everything is clearly stated. If you are too lazy to read before signing, well too bad.

Anybody know how to get a class action suite against Crunch?
I'm a member of Bally's and since they split up Crunch keeps sending me bills, even though I pay Bally's and never singned up with Crunch.
Lucky those who had no problem with Crunch, but the number of stories I heard is mounting up. They have to be stopped!

If you were a Bally's member, but went to the Buckhead location your membership has been sold to Crunch and you cannot use any Bally's gyms. Somehow I got on the Crunch list because I went to the Buckhead location 3-4x after Bally's Lindbergh location closed. You have to go to a Crunch location and fill out a membership cancellation form. If you want to go to Bally's go to the manager at one of their locations and talk nicely to try to switch over.

I received a call from Crunch Billing Service Representative, Walter Strickland, saying my credit card number is invalid. They say I owe extra fees for my bad credit card. I had him read me the numbers of my Amex credit card on file, everything was correct except the last digits...mmmm. It looks like they messed up on inputting the credit card numbers correctly on purpose so they could charge us extra fees.
When I was with Bally's, Gorilla Sports San Francisco, I never had a problem with my card. Now Crunch buys Bally's and now they are trying to charge me more money.
I got a hold of customer service at 18005471743 they corrected my charges. She said all old contracts will be honored. Check with your billing department at your gym to make sure you are not being charged more than you signed up for.
Call Michael Ness, Crunch Director, at 6462174151 and voice your complaints.

I've tried everything to stop being double-billed every month--there's nothing left but legal action for punitive damages...

The reason Crunch customer service sucks is because it's Bally customer service. Crunch was sold but Ballys is still servicing the Crunch portfolio.

I cancelled my crunch membership in April ,but I am still being charged every month ... It is now September. I can't get through to a human being at customer service. I have faxed them my cancellation form over and over. I have left messages that were not returned. The people at my local crunch gym offer no help. I hate Crunch. They lie and steal.

I've had similar problems to other folks -- I cancelled my membership to Gorilla Sports after my 36 month obligation ended (I did this in writing as well as over the phone). Yet my account remains open and Crunch continues to add monthly charges to my. This is ridiculous! Litigation can be expensive and can take along time, so before you do, file a complaint with the NY Better Business Bureau, the NY State Consumer Protection Board (where Crunch is headquartered), the Federal Trade Commission, as well your local/state's consumer protection agency.

Too bad for Crunch people....Bally's is an awful company. Arrogant corporate attitude, poor customer service, run-down equipment and facilities in many locations, and impossible CS reps who treat you like dirt. Run far. Run fast. Cut your losses.

Anyone who's dealt with this company knows why their stock price is below $3.00/share and why their CEOs keep quitting. Find another gym, any gym.

I have been trying to get out of my membership since December 2005 today it's September 14th 2006! Is there a way we can all get together and demand this company to stop harassing us, I feel like I am being held hostage and Crunch keeps abusing my personal account like it's a weapon of mass destruction.
HELP!!!

Try working for Crunch. Most people (except CEO's and people of "higher" status) haven't received a raise in YEARS! That's right, YEARS! If you ask a GM for a raise, the issue is "cleverly" skirted. The people who work for Crunch (even after the buyout) know how terrible the company is from the member standpoint, but from an employee standpoint, it's even worse. You'll never see a company who loves to throw around titles more than this one. DON'T JOIN CRUNCH! DON'T WORK FOR CRUNCH! You'll be sorry on both accounts.
