wb is not an honest man when it comes to his personal tax claims. the majority of income does not come from real work but rather from investments. these are taxed at a lower rate because they are actually taxed twice. once at 35% on the coporate side and then 15% on what personally came to him.
he makes this claim because he can afford to do it while at the same time it would be putting an obsticle in front of others who were trying to climb the financial ladder. thus by pushing this idea he defends his position of wealth and power while looking like he is trying to help the little guys.

Interesting why didn't old Warren just throw the government a bone? They allow donations for reduction of the deficit. I guess he doesn't REALLY want ot pay more now does he?

how come big mouth doesn't get off his lazy fat azz and run for office if he wants to be so involved.....

how come big mouth didn't give the government a couple of billion when he gave Gates foundation a billions....

how come big mouths companies were among the biggest of the layoff companies in 2008 and 2009.....while he was giving away billions....he could have kept employees on the job and helped American families, government income, saved unemployment payouts, and people paying into social securit and tax income...

Buffett is full of $hit, a loud mouth, only interested when it benefits him and makes him more money.....

Buffett is a perfect example of the problems in America.....

Now would old Buffett be bailing out Bank of America if there weren't huge tax breaks and low capital gains taxes? No.

http://dealbook.nytimes.com/2011/08/25/buffet...

"Then on early Wednesday, Mr. Buffett called Mr. Moynihan to discuss a potential deal. At first, Bank of Americaís chief was skeptical, saying the bank didnít need a capital injection."

Would he allow a 5% buy back premium if he wasn't raking in low taxed dividends for the next ten years? For a bank that didn't need a bailout and needed to be 'convinced'?

What a joke.

Now he and his shareholders can go ahead and pay that full share of the capital gains tax. Wait. They have no intention of doing that.

he knows right well that what he said would influence the stock market downward so that he can continue to buy low and make money when we get out of this mess by selling high.
those who think that they will have to pay more taxes will sell in a depressed market. he stands to gain from their actions.
