I too have a Lectro-saw that recently aquired at a yard sale and am trying to find out info on it.
If you or anyone knows anything about them e-mail me at MR2L81@aol.com I know it is made by Black and Decker, it is an 8" aluminum housing with front and rear depth adjustments. Thanks for any info. |

I just aquired an 8" lectro-saw, 12 amp. The blades are slightly larger than the current 7 and 1/4" blades. The arbor is 1 and 3/8." Not a standard size. I think if you had machining tools where you could make a new arbor hole exactly in the center you could use a 7 and 1/4" blade. I don't have access to that. Might be some entrepeneur could put something together. My saw runs great and has one good blade on it. I looked at modern saws the other day and the largest amp saw was in the 6 to 7 amp range. Try searching through tool bins at auction.

I Have a Electro Saw, also. Circa 1956 in the original metal case with 3 original like new blades, 2 Planer blades and 1 Nail Cutting Blade in the original cardboard envelopes. This one is a 115 Volts, 12 Amps at 4500rpm Catalog# HU-80 with a a 1 HP motor. They do not make them this good any more, also U.S made. |

I just purchased a "Lectro-Saw" 6" Heavy-duty Delux 115 volts 10 amps 5500 rpm Cat. 61 1H62889 in a metal box (not sure if original). Paid $20.00 at salvation army thrift store. It works great. Was hoping someone might be able to give me info about it. I love old tools. reminds me of my dads cabinet shop.
