I live in Cook County but I'm between Dupage & I think Kane County (Elgin),I have not purchased gas in any of the Cook County Surb in almost 2 years. My sister lives in Chicago and smokes I purchase her cigaretts in Dupage County this save approx.$2.oo per pack. People with transportation will most likely leave Cook County to make big purchases. I do not think we will leave to save a dollar or two. I do not rent cars in Cook County the tax is 19% or higher esp if the rental is within 15 miles of OHare then you have to pay a OHare expansion tax. We all have think of ways to make our dollars go futher.
