how long after the drug test does it take for best buy to call you back?
after the drug test your just suppose 2 wait for best buy to call right? you dont need 2 take any papers until they call you right?
i had my drug test the 31st of july..
i know it has been a long time and i have called but never got an answer
theyre was alot of people getting hired...if that matters..

If its been this long you didnt get hired. You failed the drug test because it only takes one day to get results normally

I took the test also for bestbuy. Its been almost 10 days and no results. Ive called them and they set up an orientation. I showed up to it and they said The test results havent came back yet. Their exact words were " the test results are still pending". The location Im applying at uses Labcorp for testing. I called them to find out wtf was going on. They told me it takes up to 10 days.

It is entirely upon the place your local Best Buy sends you to take the test. Yes, it may take a bit of time. In your pending case it might just be because they have yet to process or send the results to the store. I have seen cases where the testing facility has accidentally misplaced someones drug test and mailed to the store 14 days after someone has taken the test.

If they are serious about drug testing, they should stop hiring smokers and other tobacco addicts. I once had a BB salesman who stunk so badly of tobacco weed that my wife and I walked away from him and found someone else.

Greg - that was pedantic, at best. Tobacco and drugs have nothing to do with one another. And being a smoker in general has nothing to do with how much you "stink." I smoke a pack a day, and I get comments all day every day about how nice I smell. Because I actually care about my hygeine and work on it. It's also the reason I... hm... BATHE?(which some Non-smokers FAIL to do...)

Jack - I just got done taking a Best Buy drug test. No, they don't test you on the spot, in the store, or on the same day. I had 48 hours to find the time to go in to this place they sent me (they sent me to Quest Diagnostics). They're rather laid back about you going in, they understand that you have other things arranged possibly - my GM was very concerned about me not skipping class, he almost gave me another 24 hours.

the whole drug test thing is a total violation of privacy
im not on a drug outreach program or under court order
refuse to take them
i just watched a bunch of people straight out of the service refuse to take them
that might give you a hint
that was for lg electronics
they are asking for social security numbers and drivers license numbers on the internet
im going to review the fbi site and if it meets their criteria for complaint i will report the best buy site also
they are telling the applicant to lift more than 125 lbs
i would like you to tell me who you know that can dead lift 125 lbs
i dont care how old or young you are
these people are gonna fold and try and reopen new small stores
they are the defendant in so much legal action now and nits because they have no clue of what they are doing
dont let them try to threaten you in any way
i would quit if i was a current employee
their management structure is so
corrupt and devoid of any ethics or hr training

im about to take the test for bb employment... i have a few questions.
1. were you observed when you peed?
2. did you substitute pee or was it your pee?
3. did they pat you down or make you undress before peeing (if you were unobserved)

well i just spoke with someone who peed for the same company that i will be peeing for. they said they just tell you to empty your pockets and leave you to your own devices in the bathroom.
im really hoping thats the case

hey I have a question, I just got hired for the geek squad position, they called me after my 3rd interview (and after they ran the background check) and asked me if I accepted the job offer, i of course said yes, now they called me again and set up a training shift (which im assuming is orientation) for tomorrow from 3-5. am I going to get tested or not? everyone else ive herd gets tested before they get the job offer or start orientation, can someone clarify for me?

ya as part of the hire process they test at a local tester

the problem is that a lot of drugs that they can find like script drugs legally don't disqualify you for employment

best buy mangement are like retards ...they can't figure out what is generally accepted as legal drugs
add to this places like canada and some states here that have marijuana medicine

they dont know what to do
as an ex employee i can tell you that their hiring practices are illegal

its not so much the drug tests
but for some one who is older the credit check is a personal risk management issue

so is their management
they are being sued constantly nationwide

they now have to comply with fed dhs standards ... checking if you are properly documented
just because you have a social security number does not make it valid

states like illinois have been issuing drivers
licenses to illegals for years

now with everify they must come up with a legit social security number for you
they match the social with your license

the nightmare that's been created with the ids' nationwide is too much

the ice and the ins have been sending out letters to big companies to warn them that they are being audited for immigration violations

Thank you for the response. Please be aware that matriculas are needed ONLY BY ILLEGAL ALIENS. Legal immigrants have no use for the cards. And since illegal aliens are regularly deported, they'll have a new address, will be untraceable, and all of the money Best Buy loses in loans WILL BE PASSED ON TO ME, the consumer.

Banks that have accepted them are losing millions; just look at Wachovia and Bank of America.

MY PROMISE: I will not purchase anything from Best Buy until you end this disgusting practice. If it becomes permanent, I will never shop at another Best Buy. I closed my Wachovia account two years ago and will never go back.

Accourding to the BB manager I'm hired but still have to take drug test and Background check. I took my drug test right away and I know past it but still didnt get any calls from them. should i call them up? its been 1 week already. I need a job and I cant be waiting around for nothing. please anyone has info. or if you have done it in the past, tell me i'm worried!
