We pay our Mortgage through Bank Of America.
**********
WE were late with our mortgage payment for the
"FIRST time. When I called B Of A, the girl
said to me: Well Mr. since you have been very good
making your payments on time, we will "waive" ALL
the late charges. Unfortunately, they still took
ALL the later charges from us. When i called back they apologized & said, please send us a "copy of your Bank Statement so that we mat "put the late charges back into your account. Then, 2 days later, they told me, we will send YOU a check in the mail. Now, when i called the,m up to "expedite" our $50+, first, the csr told me they would apply the $ to our principle & interest. Then, she told me they would expedite a "check", then she told me she could
NOT find a "record" of our bank statement showing
the late charges & I would have to send ANOTHER
copy of our bank statement to the so they AGAIN
could "expedite" our money to our account. The moral of the story is NEVER EVER ASSUME ANYTHING
ANYMORE!********THIS one girl alone kept changing
her mind as to what I need to do & what they are
SUPPOSEDLY going to do!
THEY MADE A PROMISE TO ME & THEY ARE MAKING US
JUMP THROUGH HOOPS JUST TO GET THIS MONEY BACK
TO US!

P.S. I NO LONGER RESPECT THIS BANK!!!!!!!!!!

*****UPDATE from previous message!
I have learned NOT to ASSUME ANYTHING
& here is a perfect example!
****
I just called BANK OF AMERICA just to see
what they would tell me IF anything "different".
I still need to fax a copy of my bank statement
from OUR Bank, BUT, NOW this girl tells me that it
could take 30 days to get our $50+ & she "thinks"
it will be in the form of a "CHECK"
DA!
THIS COMPANY LEAVES AN AWFUL LOT TO BE DESIRED!

For readers who do not know me, my name is Linda Brazelton, and I live in Michigan. I posted this on my facebook wall.
To all my Facebook friends. Please help me by reposting this story, and ask your friends to repost this too. Bank of America is deceptive about providing loan modifications, and I believe their delaying tactics are deliberate. They mislead their customers into believing that they are there to help should the homeowner get into financial trouble. Upon receipt of your application they promise to take about 45 days to go through the review and approval process. I applied in August, 2011. More than 240 days have passed. They’ve lost paperwork, delayed reviews, then asked for updates when 2 months passed -has happened 3 times. They failed to tell me the underwriter had a question, which caused one of those 2 month delays. On April 16th, my paperwork will again become outdated. The reason for the current lengthy wait - BOA is waiting for FEMA to update the flood zoning map for Osceola Township! My contact is disrespectful, rude, and cuts me off when I ask questions. When I asked about their exact procedure for application review, she told me I didn’t need to know all the back end stuff, and that the rules change daily. I obtained the FEMA update information from my zoning administrator within 2 days; she admonished me and stated it was not relevant. I have been told I cannot be given preferential treatment when I ask for a timely response, to we are now going to escalate your file. This is merely a brief summary of a horrific experience with a greedy financial giant, and I am NOT alone. BOA doesn’t care about me, or any of their customers. We are what is making them rich. Maybe if this were reposted over and over, it might make a difference not only for me, but for many others who are in the same awful situation as I am. I would really appreciate it if you would share my story.

Thank you for speaking out. I am in the same situation...working on a modification for over 20 months. What is in store for our future? I saw in the news that NY Mellon is getting sued by Countrywide for mishandling paperwork. Which further aligns the fact that they do no have our original docs.
Great for you... a lot of this problem with people not knowing their options is that they hold on to their pride and are embarrassed by the situation. The more we talk about this the more likely people will find strenght to battle them.

Bank of America is a horrible company, I hope they eventually go down. They do not care about you, they just say what they want to hear. It is my goal to make my case known everywhere. I am on my forth offer on my home. They manage to make me lose 3 offers, I have contacted the BBB, Attorney General and now the OCC. They give you false hopes and tell all the people I have complained to what they want to hear just to stab me in the back.

It seems to me that you all have had legitimate issues with the mortgage and lending department. It is unfortunate that anyone should have to go through this, but there are thousands of BOA employees who had nothing to do with this and work in other departments. Wishing BOA or any company to fail is completely unjustified and insensitive to the thousands of employees who work hard to support themselves and their families.

i agree with all of the comments above but Bank of America is now terminating employees, and i mean great employees who do nothing but to find ways to help customers. Bank of America all they care is the bottom dollar we are told that if the customer does not bring any new money or new customers DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME GET THEM OUT OF THE OFFICE. so from someone whom worked for many years at B of A if you need help with your mortgage or any other problem MAKE SURE YOU MENTION THE MEDIA WILL HEAR ABOUT HOW THE BANKS MISTREATS THEIR CUSTOMERS AND MAYBE YOU WILL BE HEARD.

33 months of BOA Purgatory here. 14 representatives. 19 rounds of paperwork. LOST DELAYED ESCALATED BS ! YOU MUST WRITE A COMPLAINT TO THE OCC and submit a qualified written request ! They have destroyed my credit and taken at least 5 years off my life. DO NOT TRUST THEM TO DO ANYTHING !
Tons of great info on this page.

C'mon guys! Did you really think BOA would treat you honestly? That's not in their DNA.
