Get your act together and at least attempt to be technically correct:
Not a POWER shortage, an ENERGY shortage. Power is the RATE of delivering energy. Power shortage would imply insufficient line capacity to carry the power demand. What is in shortage is the ability to deliver ENERGY over the long haul.
This blind spot in most peoples' mind is the interchangeability of POWER and ENERGY. We even call them the POWER COMPANIES. They deliver ENERGY to their customers at various POWER levels depending on the capacity of the wires to deliver energy at the customers' demanded rate: POWER.
Too confusing for most, so the intermix of power and energy goes on.
