GREAT DEAL: The company gives you an $11.00 dollar an hour cut and closes your plant...The Real Truth is they get the cheap wage then open the axle plant on Delavan Ave........

US automakers will be the next extinct animal. Unions and management need to both make provisons or everyone in this industry may be heading to unemployment. Now that is the American dream isn't it.

Some money is better then no money. No college degree and complaining about $17/hr? Try not living outside your means and you should be able to make $35k a year work.

This is the same like the guys from Delphy, most of them have no education but want to make 25.00 or more an hour, what a joke, most of them got in through refferals from relative without anything to show for, their greed got them what they deserve. then they all can see that $ 17 anhout is better than 7,50

While I agree with this comment she has not brought anythin to this area, she has nothing to do with this situation. The wheels were set in motion years ago consumer demand for a lower cost better running automobile is the root cause. There are Honda plants in Ohio that are no union and employee US citizens that do not have problems like US automotive makers have.

Just like I thought...the union allowed the closure of the axle plant in Buffalo so it was just a matter of time befor the Union threw you guys under the bus...but dont feel bad the other plants are probably not to far behind you..its all apart of Richards big plan...Its really hard to feel bad for you guys when nobody cared when we go tossed under the bus cuz all the MEMBERS have the " OH WELL..AT LEAST ITS NOT OUR PLANT"attitude...nobody stood up for us when they shut our plant down which should have been a strikable issue since we were promised new work to take us to 2012...which was in the contract...if u guys were smart u would vote no on the contract cuz your plants will be gone soon anyway...and tp MVO ...many autoworkers have college degrees ..your just jealous cuz you didnt get a job there or you dont make the same $$$ or benefits for the crap job u have

They cannot. The union mentality has been planted and driven home so hard in some people they will alway think big corporations are out to screw them. We are in a world market know that we cannot compete in.

The wages at Toyota in the US plant are high. You become aware of that on the sticker price.

Some of these people bust their butts and earn their money. Education doesn't mean high wages all the time.

Actully I'm a Controller for a manufacturing firm that has a strong union I make about $85k a year with bonuses went to college got an MBA and have great benifits. Oh yeah I'm only 32. By the way I also paid my dues and work crap accounitng jobs for little money and lots of hours with no OT pay. But my Job is very secure so I don't see the jealousy in your comment.
