I'm designing a canoe in autocad 2008 and I drew out the appropriate cross sections. I want to import the 3d version into SAP2000, but it won't import. I've saved the file as a dxf file and I've lofted it, but SAP help says it requires meshed polylines in AutoCAD to import as a solid. We've tried 3d face, but to no success. We have this cross sections completely done. Is there a way to loft these in 3d with meshed polylines and import into SAP? Help if you can!

Ok my friend, I have the solution to your problem.
If yu have transver sections use the command rulesurf and apply to every section, then youŽll have a solid 3d with meshed polylines.
