I cant get COD2 to install/Uninstall!!

Ok so ive already had some trouble with the Direct2Drive Version, so i got that refunded and bought it at best buy. I put in the CD and it only has the 2 "Play" modes and Uninstall. So I click on unistall, nothing happens. Click on play, both multiplayer and singleplayer, nothing happens. Ive even searched for every file with the for "call of duty" or "activision" and it still doesnt work. If anyone could help thanks.

it wont let you install as it thinks its installed already you have regentrys left over from your direct to drive version, run a regcleaner like registry mechanic then open regedit from the run command and search for call of duty, delete any entry/ refrence you find.

if you find a refrence that is in a list of other games then only delete cod, if you find it by itself with a lot of other values like screen=0 and the likes delete the whole folder on that branch...

warning if you dont know what you are doing then dont edit the registry manualy as you can cause more harm than good, just try the registry cleaner first.
