Hi Group - thanks for the thoughts on this:

This is an FTE opportunity to be a part of a growing Information Risk Management group, with an enterprise firm in Chicago. Stability is certainly (just about) guaranteed on this one…

A few must haves initially: Application Security Exposure/Understanding. Security Controls as they relate to software and network infrastructure and methodologies. Penetration Testing. Technical/ Secure Architecture understanding. Uncovering Security Holes and Providing Mitigation. Consultative Approach to Problems and Customers/ Information Security Fundamentals/ Passion and Communication. ARCSIGHT? Hope so, we're in the middle of a rollout and so experience here is key to your success as a whole.

We're looking for an Information Security pro to assist in the continuous updating of their security consulting processes. This involves researching security control capabilities, uncovering application vulnerabilities, assessing and documenting. Recommending mitigation strategies. We do need to locate someone very technically inclined here (i-nodes anyone, how about tcp wrappers, XSS, sql injection, Cross Site Forgeries perhaps?) as experience with app servers, web servers, messaging and database servers and the like, is critical to your success.

The Information Security environment is heterogeneous: Unix/Linux (AIX, Solaris), Windows 03, XP, IBM Webservers, App Servers, et cetera.

Also -

Bachelor’s degree in CS or three plus years of IT/Information Security expertise.

We're looking for someone who loves security, loves working with a team of astute Information Security professionals and who can bring some tech talent to the table here. The group is unique and with a diverse set of skill sets in Information Security. So, if you're ready to drop into a (start-up style) infosec group, within a much larger org, this could be a good move for you. Not to mention they're in the heart of downtown Chicago. No relo available unfortunately, but a wonderful career choice long term.
