I have never understood how any company or person can be allowed to walk up and force another company to sell itself. It may be capitalistic, but it still seems to go against every ideal this country was built on. I also don't understand when stockholders became the last word on such matters. Buying stock in a company does give the shareholder voting power, but I don't believe matters like whether or not to sell out should be an issue that gets voted on. People forget that stocks are inherently speculative, and they want their dividends at all costs. I really think that issues like this are at the core of what's wrong with the economy and the country. Greed is not good; it's destructive.

Like it or not quite simple, the stockholders own the company. If you own something you have the right to sell it.

It's still corporate greed. Those workers at Air Gas would'nt have jobs, because Air Prod. would've layed them all off.
