How to crack Ansys 11 x64?

Hi all,

I already cracked Ansys 11 x32 under XP. Now, I try to crack Ansys using my laptop which is running Vista 64. It seems the method is a bit different than the previous one...

Here is the following method I used to crack Ansys 11 in XP:
1. Install Ansys 11 (autoexec.exe->Install Products-> Ansys Products)
2. Install License Management (autoexec.exe->Install Products-> Licence Management)
First question - Answer No
Second question - Answer Yes
3. Start-> Programs-> Ansys Flexlm Licence Manager
Open ANSLIC_ADMIN Utility
Choose: Show HostID...(2nd tab from the top)
Write down: your Hostname and FlexID

4. Go back to the MAGNITUDE folder
open a11calc.exe
answer: NO (just write "N" and hit "enter")
type your Hostname
type your FlexID

5. Copy the licence.dat that has been created
Paste it in X:program files\Ansys\Shared\Licensing\

6. Copy lmgrd32.exe and ansyslmd32.exe from DVD to X:program files\Ansys\Shared\Licensing\i ntel\
and change the two file names into lmgrd.exe and ansyslmd.exe

7. Open LMTools:
Start-> Programs-> Ansys Flexlm-> LMTOOLS Utility

Licence Manager

Check (bottom right corner): LMTools Ignores license file path envrironment variables

In the Config Services tab:
specify path to the lmgrd.exe file: X:program files\Ansys\Shared\Licensing\i ntel\lmgrd.exe

specify path to license file:X:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\Shared Files\Licensing\license.dat

SAVE

8. Restart your pc
9. You sould be able to open Ansys and Workbench

For Ansys x64, I copied the 2 files from DVD the names lmgrdx64.exe and ansyslmdx64.exe and put them into the following folder: X:program files\Ansys\Shared\Licensing\w inx64\

I also noticed that LMTOOLS Utility doesn't work on the 1st try, I have to install it a first time (I had to enter the port number and the hostID) but when I launch LMTOOLS, there is an error message which is displayed. So I install it a 2nd time. This time, I am not asked to enter the port number or the hostID, but then I can launch LMTOOLS...

I write this message today to try to gather the knowledge and to finaly succeed in the ansys cracking.
So, answer this message and explain what you have done, which results you obtain,...

I finally succeed!!
I installed and cracked ANSYS 11 x64 SP1!!
Here you can find the version I use (emule link on the following webpage):

I installed ANSYS as the previous versions (x32), I copied and pasted (into X:program files\Ansys\Shared\Licensing\i ntel\) lmgrdx64.exe and ansyslmdx64.exe from the DVD (the latest I found on it) and I took away the 'x64' from their names.

I had pbs with the license, so I fixed it thanks to 3 steps:
STEP 1: go to the ANSYS DVD Launcher
STEP 2: install the license management once again, but this time install as a server. That is by clicking YES to 1st question and 2nd.
STEP 3: when it ask for the license file, browse the license file that you generated using a110sp1_calc.exe (for me, it is on a folder on the desktop).

Now it should work...

vista has trouble using the lmtools. you can still run the license by opening a command prompt.... then cd to the license directory.... and save the license.dat file here too..
then at the prompt run

lmgrd.exe -c license.dat -l +ansys.log

Dear All,
I just bought a new PC with intel core i7 inside. I try to run ANSYS11 (x64) on it but it doesn't work. There is the error message "A working version of the FLEXlm LMTOOLS Utility is not available for this hardware platform at this time". Could you please tell me how can I fix this error?
O/S of my PC is Vista 64 bit
CPU intel core i7
RAM DDR III 6GB
